The trial of Korean missionary Park Tae-Yeon, 69, resumed recently in Russia. Missionary Park was arrested in January 2026, one week before she was due to return to South Korea to retire after 33 years of ministry in Russia.
She was arrested for immigration violations, but there were also investigations into “religious camps” she was allegedly involved with in Khabarovsk, Russia.
Missionary Park serves with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). CEF-USA was declared an “undesirable organization” in Russia on July 6, highlighting the increasing pressure Christian organizations and ministries face inside Russia.
Voice of the Martyrs Korea is supporting Missionary Park, including organizing a global petition calling for her release, which has gathered more than 4,000 signatures.
“Please pray for Missionary Park’s health and for her quick release,” an International Christian Concern (ICC) staffer said.
